The United States 30-year Treasury yield went above the two-year Treasury yield on Monday, with the gap between the two disinvesting for the first time since January. The move comes following the events that took place over the weekend, as investors seemingly tried to assess how the attack on former United States President Donald Trump could affect the country’s political scene and upcoming elections. Meanwhile, it was reported that the US inflation cooled to 3% in June. After topping the two-year Treasury note yield, the return on the 30-year bond increased 3.6 basis points to 4.436% at 4:31 am ET, while the yield on the two-year note fell 1.7 basis points to 4.441% simultaneously.
