Russian President Vladimir Putin is pleased with the agreement reached between the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other major oil producers, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday. “President Putin very positively assesses the agreed document, which became a compromise of 22 countries that took part in [the talks],” Peskov stated, noting that the deal is expected to have a positive and stabilizing effect on the world’s energy market.Earlier today, United States Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette said during the G20 energy summit his country’s oil output was expected to drop by at least 2 million barrels per day by the end of the year.
