Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that his government rejected a request from the United States to engage in negotiations. He added that “there is no longer any need for proof” that the US is already involved in Israel’s strikes against Iran, citing the Trump administration’s rhetoric. Araghchi added that Iran’s talks with foreign ministers from the United Kingdom, France and Germany today will focus on the issues regarding Iran’s nuclear program and not its missile capabilities. “We are engaged in legitimate self-defense, and this defense will not stop,” he stressed.
