Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office Head Andriy Yermak said in an interview with The Atlantic released on Thursday that the Ukrainian leader will not give up territory in the ongoing peace negotiations. “As long as Zelensky is president, no one should count on us giving up territory. He will not sign away territory,” Yermak stressed, adding that “not a single sane person” would sign a document relinquishing part of the territory “unless they want to go against the Ukrainian constitution and the Ukrainian people.” The official noted that Ukraine is only willing to discuss where to trace the line to delimit what the belligerent parties control. “All we can realistically talk about right now is really to define the line of contact,” he emphasized.
