Wall Street kicks off higher, Dow soars 350 pts

Major stock markets in the United States opened deep in the green territory following the news that President Joe Biden and Senator Joe Manchin continued discussions on approving the Build Back Better economic plan. During the premarket’s session, the White House announced it will provide half a million COVID-19 at-home tests for free starting from next year to curb the spread of the Omicron variant. The Dow Jones climbed 0.98% or 344 points at the opening bell, with Nike advancing 7.66%. The Nasdaq 100 surged 1.08% or 170 points, as Micron Technology gained 8.79%. The S&P 500 gained 0.85%.
