Iran launched ballistic missiles at a United States military base in Jordan, Axios reported, citing a US official. The official said the missiles were intercepted before reaching their target. Iranian outlets Fars and Tasnim identified Muwaffaq Salti Air Base as the target. Tasnim reported heavy Jordanian air defense activity and cited sources saying the base had come under attack.

US says it intercepted Iran’s ‘surprise attack’ on its forces

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched several ballistic missiles at US forces across the Middle East on Wednesday. CENTCOM described the strike as an “attempted surprise attack” and said every missile was intercepted. “US forces remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness,” CENTCOM stated. It did not identify the locations targeted. The announcement came after reports that Iranian missiles had been launched toward a US military base in Jordan.

NN: Its called sitting ducks. The  time to eliminate the missle is not when it been launched. You eliminate the missal by eliminating the people that are shooting them at you before they even make them

Oil jumps 3.5% on renewed Middle East tensions

Crude oil prices surged over 3.5% on Wednesday, after the United States and Iran resumed hostilities, exchanging attacks across the Middle East overnight, and renewing concerns over supply disruptions. The US military reported earlier that Tehran launched several ballistic missiles at US troops in the region, after which the US Central Command (CENTCOM), together with Saudi Arabia, jointly targeted “Iran-aligned terrorists” in Iraq. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in September jumped 3.78% to sell for $82.23 per barrel at 2:23 am ET. At the same time, Brent for the same month’s settlements increased by 3.82%, going for $87.30 per barrel.

Saudi Aramco shut its 400,000-barrel-per-day Jazan refinery on July 27 after a Houthi attack damaged the facility, according to an IIR note seen by Reuters. IIR said the strike damaged the refinery’s Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle complex and tank farm. Repairs are tentatively expected to be completed by August 15. Tentatively is doing some fairly heroic work there. The attack took place Saturday, and video verified by Reuters showed a large plume of smoke rising from the refinery. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group also struck Aramco facilities in Yanbu. Saudi Aramco has not commented on the damage or restart schedule.

A shutdown lasting less than three weeks may not sound catastrophic. But Jazan is not going offline in a normal fuel market. Gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel supplies were already tight, inventories were already thin, and refining margins had already surged to record highs.

Crude oil has proved remarkably movable during the Gulf war. It can be rerouted, stored on tankers, discounted, or sent through another port. Finished fuel is less flexible. It must first pass through a refinery that is actually operating. Jazan removes 400,000 bpd of that capacity, at least for now. And then there is Yanbu. Saudi Arabia has leaned heavily on the Red Sea port to move crude around the Strait of Hormuz. That workaround helped keep oil moving while the Gulf route was disrupted. A Houthi strike on Yanbu suggests the war may now be following the workaround west. Russia offered one bit of good news Sunday, saying several refineries had restarted and its fuel crisis was easing. Still, Moscow’s diesel export ban remains in place, Ukrainian attacks continue, and some Russian regions remain short of fuel. So yes, refining capacity is returning in Russia. Now 400,000 bpd has disappeared in Saudi Arabia. The crude market has spent months finding detours. The fuel market has fewer of them. You cannot reroute your way around a refinery that is not running.

NN: Shortage are being hidden worldwide. The crack spread the difference or profits on refining are at unfathomable highs. The crack spread is the difference from what a refiner pays for a barrel of oil and what it gets when it processes the crude oil into products like gasoline and diesel fuel. Typically around $25 to $60 a barrel. Now running $200 a barrel for diesel fuel. Reflecting the severe shortages and the intense bidding for the worlds transportation fuel. You can only shit the bed so many times before the matressneeds to be thrown away.

Crude oil prices continued their downward streak on Tuesday, with Brent falling more than 5%, after the United States and Iran decided to halt attacks and resume peace negotiations.

Brent for deliveries in September tumbled 5.32% to sell for $83.70 per barrel at 12:00 pm ET. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for the same month’s settlements dipped 4.43%, going for $78.52 per barrel.

United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that negotiations with Iran “are going well,” stressing that there is a possibility of reaching an agreement. “There’s a good chance that something could happen,” he told reporters aboard Air Force One. Trump claimed that Iran has requested a meeting with US officials through mediators, adding that the US “will meet them.” “I have plenty of time,” he said. He also addressed US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s handling of the war against Iran, emphasizing that he is “not disappointed,” and adding that Hegseth “has done a great job.” Furthermore, the US president stated that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have “a little difference” on Iran, but that they are “pretty close.”

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Monday that the military has redirected 17 commercial vessels and disabled another two that were trying to breach the naval blockade against Iran. The military added that its forces also boarded two ships “to ensure compliance” with the blockade. The US officially reinstated the naval blockade against Iran on July 14 after Washington and Tehran resumed hostilities, blaming each other for breaching the memorandum of understanding reached between the two parties previously.

Their is no fuel coming for your vehicles. No food without fertilizer. No electricity coming down the wire. No chemicals, no plastics no chips without helium,  no computers  epoxy resin circuit boards, cell phones  abs poly carboniate, data centers  natural gas or diesel  for back up generators, no cell phone towers energy,… Shit they will not be able to manufacture bullets no acetone for manufacturing  smokeless powder, no bombs    .  no epoxy resins to make modern jets no fuel to fly panes.  NO RP1 rocket fuel to launch never mind the fossil fuel base binders for the solid boosters. No solar panels becase they use EVA to seal the cells. No electric car batteries no polymer separators for the cells. No epoxy to build electric car motors.  No highways and roads because no asphalt, No roofs because no shingles and synthetic rubber membranes.  How about car tires no carbon black and no synthetic rubber. No medicines they need benzine, ethaline, propylene, toluene, Ethelene oxide to name a few.  In you local hospital no medical grade plastics or the energy to run them. In construction no PVC FOR PIPES. NO fuel to quarry the minerals for aggregates, no fuel for the kilns for cement production. No light sensitive polymers for chip manufacturing. No plastics for cars which is 15% of their construction by weight, not steel or aluminum they use tremendous amounts of fossil fuels. 100% of aluminum production uses fossil fuel based electricity.

Iranian army spokesman Amir Akraminia said on Sunday that Tehran paused its retaliatory operations because Washington halted its own strikes over the previous two nights. “Americans stopped their attacks over the past two nights. Since our strategy has been entirely retaliatory, we also stopped our retaliatory operations,” he stated. Akraminia added that US strategy appears confused, citing contradictory signals from US President Donald Trump and the US Central Command (CENTCOM). He warned that any continued US strikes would widen the war, noting that fighting has already reached the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The spokesman urged clarity from US officials to avoid further regional escalation.

 

Iran is preparing a new list of targets inside Israel in case the conflict between the two countries resumes, Al-Jazeera reported on Saturday, citing an Iranian security source. According to the source, the new targets would be those that could not be repaired or rebuilt for years, and targeting them would “accelerate emigration from Israel.” The report comes after Iranian officials warned that any attack on Pickaxe Mountain, an underground fortified facility currently under construction, located near Iran’s Natanz nuclear complex, would trigger a heavy response, including strikes on Israel, even if the United States carried out the attack without Israeli help. US President Donald Trump previously warned that US forces will “be hitting that area very probably pretty soon,” as the site is suspected to host parts of Iran’s enriched uranium.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement on Friday its forces targeted a United States military base, including several fighter jets, in Jordan in the latest attacks, adding that many American soldiers were wounded and killed. The IRGC went on to claim that a US base, as well as a Patriot air defense system and a spy balloon, at Erbil Air Base in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, were “destroyed.” Furthermore, the IRGC insisted that the US administration is hiding the exact number of servicemen killed so far in the war against Iran.

NN: It is obvious that the drones are kicking the shit out of US bases. Planes are gone and only skeleton  crews are manning what it left of any on the ground assets.
