Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said on Tuesday that Hamas officials received the full text of United States President Donald Trump’s proposed Gaza peace plan, with internal meetings being scheduled for today to evaluate the proposal. Al-Ansari stressed it is “too early to speculate on the outcome” but described Qatar’s stance as “upbeat,” noting that the plan appears to be “comprehensive” in scope. He added that Doha continues to play a mediating role, and that Turkey “now stands as part of the US initiative.” He also confirmed on Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an apology to the Gulf State for the attack on the Hamas delegation.

The White House unveiled on Monday US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan to end the Gaza war, proposing an immediate ceasefire and a framework for US-brokered dialogue between Israel and Palestinians for long-term coexistence.
Under the agreement, Israel will free 1,700 inmates and 250 prisoners serving life sentences in exchange for the return of all hostages, both living and dead. Residents of Gaza are free to remain, depart, or return to the enclave and Israel will not annex or occupy the territory, the document added.
