Oil and stocks fall as markets still rattled by Fed minutes

LONDON, Aug 20 (Reuters) – The Federal Reserve’s doubts over the U.S. economic recovery kept markets in the red on Thursday, even though European stock indexes spent the morning recovering from initial losses. Wall Street was knocked from its recent highs on Wednesday after the Fed’s minutes from its July meeting spooked investors by showing that the swift labour market rebound seen in May and June had likely slowed. The S&P 500 had reached an all-time high earlier in the week as prices recovered to their pre-pandemic levels. The sudden bearishness spilled into Asian markets overnight and continued in the European session, although shares started to recover as the morning progressed. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan had its biggest daily decline in five weeks while the MSCI world equity index, which tracks shares in 49 countries, was down 0.6% at 1042 GMT. Several Fed policymakers said they may need to ease monetary policy to help get the economy through the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s easy to forget that we’ve just experienced one of the largest and most severe economic shocks on record,” said Kaspar Elmgreen, head of equities at Amundi.

“This story is not over yet, despite what the markets might be indicating,” he said.“We are navigating a ship here with unusually low forward visibility and a very wide range of outcomes.”

“The key question for investors is whether the policy responses are enough to mitigate the economic damage,” BH Global, a fund managed by Brevan Howard, said in an interim report published on Thursday. “Many businesses face solvency risks that are not addressed by borrowing; a debt overhang cannot be cured by more borrowing no matter how cheap it may be,” the fund’s report added. “Improved financial conditions are narrowly focused on a handful of large companies and benefiting stakeholders who need relatively little economic assistance. The result is that financial assets are expensive by many standard metrics.

“So long as a V-shaped recovery in risky assets fails to create a V-shaped recovery in economic activity, this tension is a recipe for increased volatility,” it said, adding that the U.S. presidential elections in November could be a catalyst for such volatility. Oil prices fell, as major producers warned of a risk to demand recovery. OPEC and its allies pressed oil nations that are pumping above output targets to cut more in August to September. It will take at least two years for the euro zone to fully recover from its deepest recession on record, according to a Reuters poll of economists. Markets also remained cautious about acrimonious U.S.-China relations.  Nick Note: It seems like everyone knows what is coming but wallstreet. “This administration has shown that it will tear our democracy down if that’s what it takes to win,” Obama said.

PHILADELPHIA — Former President Barack Obama warned Wednesday night that American democracy may not survive if President Donald Trump is reelected, a damning assessment of his successor intended to jolt Democrats into rallying around Joe Biden in the November election.”This administration has shown it will tear our democracy down if that’s what it takes to win,” Obama said in strikingly blunt, and at times emotional, remarks on the third night of the Democratic convention. Even in the heat of campaigns, former presidents are typically more restrained than other politicians in their criticisms of a sitting president. Yet Obama’s remarks – his most personal and direct critique of Trump yet – revealed the 44th president’s personal disregard for the nation’s current commander in chief and his belief that Trump presents an existential threat to American democracy. Obama’s address also amounted to a call to action to a weary and anxious nation, particularly younger Americans frustrated with a government that may often appear out of touch with their own interests. Democrats see Obama as a bridge to those voters in the 2020 race, someone who can speak both to Biden’s character and to the urgency of progressives pushing for more sweeping change to the nation’s economic and domestic policies.

“I am also asking you to believe in your own ability – to embrace your own responsibility as citizens – to make sure that the basic tenets of our democracy endure,” Obama said.

Obama forged a close personal relationship with Biden during their eight years together in the White House and has been a sounding board for him throughout the 2020 campaign. On Wednesday, Obama said that when he set out to pick a vice president, “I didn’t know I’d end up finding a brother.” Yet there’s an inherent tension in Obama’s role as one of the most powerful and important surrogates for Biden. Obama’s own political rise was fueled by the power of barrier-breaking, generational change, and he’s encouraged “new blood” in politics. More recently, Obama drew attention during the 2020 Democratic primary when he said many of the world’s problems have been due to “old people, usually old men, not getting out of the way.” With the general election now in full swing, Obama confidants say that while the former president’s support for Biden is unequivocal, he does worry about enthusiasm among younger voters, particularly younger voters of color. He’s well aware that one of the reasons Trump currently occupies the Oval Office is that those voters did not show up in the same large numbers in 2016 for Hillary Clinton as they did when he was on the ballot.

Obama was bitingly personal in his criticism of Trump, accusing him of using the presidency to seek the “attention he craves” and never putting in the work required to lead the nation, particularly in times of crisis.

Indeed, the former president has enviable popularity, both among Democrats and all Americans. A Fox News poll conducted in May found 93% of Democrats had a favorable opinion of Obama, as did 63% of all registered voters.
Despite that strong support, there has been some rethinking of Obama’s legacy among some of his party’s most liberal activists, who argue he didn’t go far enough in overhauling the nation’s health care system and gave too much away to Republicans in fiscal negotiations. Obama himself has acknowledged there was more he wanted to do, but argued he was hamstrung by the realities of a Republican-controlled House, and eventually Senate, for much of his tenure. Nick Note: I was never a big Obama fan. His Arab spring was a disaster and what he did in Benghazi allowing the  horrible deaths of U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith. who was torutred to death for hours with special forces outside the door he ordered to stand down was a disaster. But i NEVER regarded Obama as a traitor nor a threat to Americas freedoms. Trump on the other hand is a monster and a buffoon. The upcoming elections will be a disaster and their is a real chance Trump will not step down. In fact i am sure of it. All this hitting while another bigger then ever wave of coronavirus infects millions is nothing short of Event of Biblical proportions….. Heed Obama’s warnings…..

Oil recovery slower than expected – OPEC+

TOKYO, Aug 19 (Reuters) – Oil prices slid on Wednesday as concerns grew that U.S. fuel demand may not recover quickly amid stalled talks on a post-coronavirus economic stimulus package, overshadowing a bigger-than-expected drawdown in U.S. crude stocks. With investors keeping one eye on a key producer countries’ ministerial meeting later in the day, Brent crude futures fell 38 cents, or 0.8%, to $45.08 a barrel by 0029 GMT, having edged up 9 cents on Tuesday. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures was down 25 cents, or 0.6%, at $42.64 a barrel, having ended unchanged the previous day. “Demand concerns weighed on oil prices, with U.S. economic stimulus still nowhere in sight and U.S.-Sino trade talks being postponed,” said Hiroyuki Kikukawa, general manager of research at Nissan Securities. U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he postponed trade talks with China, adding that he does not want to talk to China right now. “But losses were limited by positive news such as a drop in U.S. crude stocks,” Kikukawa said, predicting prices will stay within a tight range amid the mixed signals. On the positive side, U.S. crude inventories fell by 4.3 million barrels to about 512 million barrels, more than analysts’ expectations for a 2.7 million-barrel drawdown, industry data from the American Petroleum Institute showed after the markets closed on Tuesday. Investors are also keenly awaiting news from Wednesday’s meeting of a ministerial panel of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies including Russia, a grouping known as OPEC+, which is set to review adherence to a previously agreed deal on oil output cuts. Compliance with the cuts stood at 95-97% in July, according to OPEC+ sources and a draft report reviewed by Reuters on Monday. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak is set to join the video meeting despite having tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Nick Note to be clear here. Oil demand is not not not increasing. And OPEC despite the happy face damns well knows it. Holiday season in the US and Europe has been dismal. The politicians are desperate to satisfy the lobbyists and try as they will, The virus keeps wining. Their has been virtually NO increase is aniline passengers. and refiners the world over a chocking on excess gasoline supplies. Which to their horror are in bulging storage because vacation driving demand never materilized. ANd back to school is a wash our. with every school they tries to open gets slammed with REAL infections and illness. No soccer moms dropping off kids and no school buses trucking them to those huge campuses… Its a wash out for sure

EIA Petroleum Report for week ending August 14, 2020

U.S. commercial crude oil inventories (excluding those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve) decreased by 1.6 million barrels from the previous week. At 512.5 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are about 15% above the five year average for this time of year.  U.S. crude oil refinery inputs averaged 14.5 million barrels per day during the week ending August 14, 2020 which was 171,000 barrels per day less than the previous week’s average. Refineries operated at 80.9% of their operable capacity last week. Gasoline production decreased last week, averaging 9.4 million barrels per day. Distillate fuel production decreased last week, averaging 4.7 million barrels per day. U.S. crude oil imports averaged 5.7 million barrels per day last week, up by 109,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Over the past four weeks, crude oil imports averaged about 5.6 million barrels per day, 21.7% less than the same four-week period last year. Total motor gasoline imports (including both finished gasoline and gasoline blending components) last week averaged 557,000 barrels per day, and distillate fuel imports averaged 48,000 barrels per day. Total motor gasoline inventories decreased by 3.3 million barrels last week and are about 7% above the five year average for this time of year. Finished gasoline inventories increased while blending components inventories decreased last week. Distillate fuel inventories increased by 0.2 million barrels last week and are about 24% above the five year average for this time of year. Propane/propylene inventories virtually unchanged last week and are about 10% above the five year average for this time of year. Total commercial petroleum inventories decreased last week by 2.6 million barrels last week.Total products supplied over the last four-week period averaged 18.4 million barrels a day, down by 14.3% from the same period last year. Over the past four weeks, motor gasoline product supplied averaged 8.7 million barrels a day, down by 9.9% from the same period last year. Distillate fuel product supplied averaged 3.6 million barrels a day over the past four weeks, down by 6.1% from the same period last year. Jet fuel product supplied was down 47.6% compared with the same four-week period last year.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported a draw in crude oil inventories week ending August 14

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported on Tuesday a draw in crude oil inventories of 4.264 million barrels for the week ending August 14 A large build in gasoline inventories which offset a modest draw in crude oil inventories cooled bullish sentiment in markets somewhat on Tuesday afternoon. Oil prices were trading down on Tuesday afternoon before the API’s data release, and just minutes before the release, WTI had fallen by $0.33 (-0.77%) to $42.56. The Brent crude benchmark had fallen by $0.30 (-0.66%) to $45.07, even as OPEC showed this week that its overall July compliance rate was about as good as it could get.   Oil production in the United States now appears to be leveling off after falling from a high of 13.1 million bpd on March 13 to 10.7 million bpd on August 7, according to the Energy Information Administration—the loss adding to OPEC’s production cuts.    The API reported a build of 4.991 million barrels of gasoline for the week ending August 14. Distillate inventories were down by 964,000 barrels for the week, compared to last week’s 2.949-million-barrel draw, while Cushing inventory fell by a modest 590,000 barrels. Nick Note: As you can see they are converting crude oil into gasoline. And at the height of driving season… You see something that rarely happens:  gasoline inventories builds. As far as crude oil that is simply Saudi Arabia holding inventories off the US market to make it appear demand is increasing…. Which it is not.

Its Impossible To Seal Your face with toilet Paper Mask

As you can see in the video. Coronavirus particles big and small go in and out and around your JOKE N95 or surgical mask filter. Save yourself, Save your loved ones and save your friends and get them a mask that seals tight around the mouth and nose and the only filter the CERTIFIED P3 R that can seal out even the aerosolized nanoparticle coronavirus.

The Risk of Infection is in the Air

When a person infected with the coronavirus coughs, speaks or sneezes, a spray consisting of droplets of different sizes and aerosols is generated, which penetrates the room air and then spreads.
All of these droplets and aerosols contain potential viruses. Professor Dr. Martin Kriegel, head of the Hermann-Rietschel-Institut at TU Berlin, is researching how these particles behave – whether and when they sink to the ground, how far they spread, if they remain in the air and where they sediment.

How long do pathogens remain in the air?

“We are conducting a number of projects to research how long pathogens remain in the air under a wide range of conditions,” says Kriegel. Professor Kriegel’s “Contamination Control” team is performing its research using two clean rooms, several room airflow labs and a research operating theater. To better understand the corona pandemic, the researchers are examining to what extent the spread of the virus is affected by the composition and size distribution of the particles in exhaled air (aerosol). The term aerosol refers to the smallest fluid or solid particles (these could be viruses, either alone or combined with saliva or even dirt or particulates) in a gas, most commonly air. The size of the particles ranges from a few nanometers (a millionth of a millimeter), through to several micrometers (one thousandth of a millimeter). To provide a comparison: The breadth of a human hair is 100 micrometers.

How viruses behave in the air is determined by the size of the carrier aerosols

“It seems that as far as the coronavirus is concerned, both infection via droplets and airborne transmission via aerosols apply,” Kriegel explains. In the case of droplet infection, the virus particles in a droplet of saliva come into contact with the mucus membranes of another person. While in airborne transfers, the viruses – tied to the smallest fluid particles – enter our respiratory passages. Decisive for the behavior of viruses in air are the size of the carrier aerosols as well as the indoor climate, the air exchange rate and the way in which a room is aired. “Larger particles sink faster to the ground. Smaller particles follow the air flow and can remain longer in the air,” Kriegel explains.

Studies have shown that speaking, coughing and sneezing produce particles of 0.01 μm to 1500 μm

The spread of the mixture of particles, saliva and air produced by speaking coughing or sneezing occurs in two stages. Firstly the process of coughing/speaking/sneezing produces a spray which penetrates the room air, increasingly mixing with it. What happens next to this spray depends on a number of factors, such as its speed, turbulence, the temperature difference between the spray and the surrounding air as well as the difference in humidity. A number of studies have shown that speaking/coughing/sneezing produce particles of 0.01 μm to 1500 μm. “Once the spray has fully mixed with the room air, the process of spreading begins,” explains Kriegel. “The smaller particles largely follow the room airflow, whilst larger particles sink successively to the ground. The fact that the largest particles are only emitted by sneezing is often overlooked. Almost all aerosols produced by speaking and coughing are small.

More than 50 percent of medium-sized particles can still be detected in the air after twenty minutes

Working in a number of projects, the research team measured the sedimentation rate of particles of various size categories. Almost all small particles (0.5 to10 μm) are still present in air after twenty minutes. Little or no sedimentation of these particles can be detected. More than 50 percent of medium-sized particles (3 to10 μm) can still be detected in the air after twenty minutes. “A further study shows that under certain conditions even larger droplets (>60 μm) can spread a long way through a room. This is the case if the particles are propelled from a source of warmth (such as a human body). They rise, spread horizontally and only then start to sediment. Possible horizontal air movements strengthen the spreading effect,” says Kriegel.

To examine the possibility of recommencing normal working life, the research team simulated the spread of particles in an office where four people are working and where there is no air conditioning system. “Our tests show that small particles of less than 50 μm spread extensively through a room and remain in the air for a long time without the use of an air conditioning system.

the freeging n95 masks don’t work. the surgical masks are worse and the cool dude bandannas are a sick joke

The National Institute of Health issued an urgent warning that MASKS DON’T PROTECT YOU from the Coronavirus. Not even the so-called gold standard of masks – the N95. Even worse, they report that “reusable” surgical masks are killing those who wear them.

See NIH study quotes below:

“The N95 filtering face piece respirators may not provide the expected protection level against small virions. Some surgical masks may let a significant fraction of airborne viruses penetrate through their filters, providing very low protection against aerosolized infectious agents in the size range of 10 to 80 nm.”

Results

“The results indicate that the penetration of virions through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-certified N95 respirators can exceed an expected level of 5%. The tested surgical masks showed a much higher particle penetration because they are known to be less efficient than the N95 respirators. The 2 surgical masks, which originated from the same manufacturer, showed tremendously different penetration levels of the MS2 virions: 20.5% and 84.5%, respectively, at an inhalation flow rate of 85 L/min.”

WTF

Hi Nick here. I am in a foul mood. I am really really angry. I cannot believe how people are acting especially baby boomers. We are in the crosshairs of a plague. What I believe if not already the coronavirus will soon be the deadliest  mankind has ever faced. The politicking, the misinformation and profiteering disgusts me to the core of my being.

It just don’t work a second time…..

Look you got google… if you don’t believe me google it. . To make it easy for you i redid my original offer for the only mask i believe can protect you. I included the certifications, charts of the difference. I even got a letter from the EU certified testing lab certifying the filters we provide.

I am going to tell you what i told my kids. I have done all i can do. I became a expert on this pandemic. I am the librarian and mask supplier to Hospitals and foremost medical centers. As a footnote medical staff fight over my filters and masks…  they know the truth. Back to my millennial’s. I told them here are the masks, goggles, filters and medicines and the supporting researcher]. Its on you my convenience is clear. You live you live and you die or get sick and disabled for life its not on me.

I have a solution for you. Send the complete kit to your family and say pick a chance at life or die. My conscience is clear. And that is exactly what i am doing for you. I am tired of arguing with stupid people. If you want to see the truth is as plain as day. The authorities are Not reporting the infections. They are NOT reporting the positivity rate. They are NOT reporting the hospitalizations. And they are NOT reporting the deaths.

So you really expect them to tell you the Gold Star N95 mask is a joke? Do you expect them to tell the hospitals workers that the PPE shit they provide is a even sicker joke. And they do not have the money for the right equiptment? DO you expect them to tell the poor schmucks at the hospital risking their lives and their families that reusing a N95 mask that has been processed removes the electrostatic charge and reduces it ability to filter big droplets by half????????????

Covid-19 Vaccine Push Lacks a Key Ingredient: Trust

(Bloomberg Opinion) — In the war against the coronavirus, only one weapon has the potential to ease the conflict quickly: a vaccine. With about 164,000 Americans dead from Covid-19, the economy battered and communities forced into recurring lockdowns, the federal government has made a $10 billion wager that public funds and expertise wedded to private research and production can jump-start a vaccine’s arrival — possibly by early next year. Operation Warp Speed, launched in April, is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services, the Biomedical Advance Research and Development Authority, and the Department of Defense, along with several other federal agencies. A handful of pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca Plc, GlaxoSmithKline Plc, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna Inc., Novavax Inc., Pfizer Inc. and Sanofi SA, have received the lion’s share of the federal funding. The companies are spending those billions on vaccine development and clinical trials, as well as the cost of manufacturing and delivering a successful candidate to the government. Companies aren’t required to repay the money, and the government is getting no equity stake or profit participation in return for the taxpayer dollars. But the companies have committed to delivering hundreds of millions of doses of their vaccines directly to the government, which promises free inoculations for Americans. There’s likely to be plenty of wreckage along the way. Many companies may not be able to engineer a vaccine, much less deliver one, and billions of dollars will go down the drain. It’s a calculated risk worth taking, as long as it speeds an effective vaccine to market. Drug companies normally develop drugs slowly in order to minimize pricey failures. A cushion of federal funding allows Big Pharma to begin manufacturing possibly money-losing drugs even while trials are underway, compressing years of work into months. Warp Speed’s upside — saving lives — is well worth any money that may get lost. But the program also has been shrouded in secrecy. The government has good reasons to keep some parts of the program under wraps, particularly negotiations that could affect the stock prices of companies making bids. But the process for deciding which companies were tapped to participate in the public health equivalent of the Manhattan Project has been entirely too opaque. And that lack of transparency is also likely to make the public — the folks who will have to line up for inoculations — skeptical that the government has ensured that we wind up with an effective, safe vaccine. Two of the men overseeing Warp Speed, Moncef Slaoui and Gary Disbrow, say they aren’t cutting any corners around testing or safety protocols before a vaccine is released into the wild, but time is of the essence. “If we were to wait to scale up manufacturing until we had results of Phase 3 clinical trials, we would be looking at a six- to eight-month delay before we even started manufacturing,” says Disbrow, who has worked for Barda since 2007 and is now the agency’s acting director. “The financial burden for lives lost and the financial burden to our overall economy for not allowing our people to go back to a somewhat normal routine is much greater than the financial burden that we’re assuming in developing these vaccines.” Slaoui is a well-regarded, Moroccan-born research scientist who spent three decades at GlaxoSmithKline, most recently as head of the drug giant’s vaccines department, before he retired in 2017. He also served on several corporate boards of directors, including Moderna’s, before President Donald Trump’s administration appointed him as Warp Speed’s chief adviser in May.“As I took the role coming from industry, I had a few hesitations, concerns that I may get myself into some kind of a moving sand and bureaucracy,” he says. “And it’s just in the reverse. It’s incredible. I think the level of focus and alignment and empowerment and lack of interference — it’s just perfect. And I think as an executive team we’re running at a thousand miles an hour.”

Slaoui also has little patience for critics of Warp Speed’s structure or goals: “Many, many experts are saying, ‘Why, this has never been done,’ and ‘Why, it’s impossible to do.’ I would like to ask them: Please, can you take 10% of your time and help us try to make it work? … Of course its very difficult. Of course it could fail.” That doesn’t address one of the most pertinent criticisms: that Warp Speed’s contracts and spending aren’t transparent. The House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis has just called for Warp Speed officials to provide more information on its operations. In a recent Senate hearing, legislators grilled Disbrow, along with Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, about how the operation is being run. “The administration still has not provided any explanation of how it is selecting vaccine candidates, what the risks are of narrowing down that shortlist or addressed concerns about potential conflicts in contracts that predate this crisis,” Senator Patty Murray, a Democrat from Washington state, observed during the hearing.

The Warp Speed leaders declined to offer specifics to senators on which companies were candidates or how the selection process works. Disbrow noted that Barda has been making Warp Speed investments public as soon as the agency believes it’s appropriate to do so.  Collins said his agency convened a panel of experts who reviewed 50 Covid-19 vaccine candidates before the list was winnowed down. All three men told the senators that they hadn’t come under pressure from the White House or anyone else in government to select particular Warp Speed participants or to expedite the delivery of a vaccine to improve President Trump’s re-election prospects. But political controversy has haunted every discussion of Warp Speed and its timeline for delivering a vaccine. And for good reason. Trump has frequently highlighted the possibility that a vaccine will arrive much sooner than experts and Warp Speed’s own leaders predict, and he has forced agencies such as the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration — both part of the Warp Speed effort — to bend to his will or follow his lead on medically dubious initiatives. Slaoui says a vaccine could be available by the end of the year for some at-risk individuals, but that would require emergency approval from the FDA. Stephen Hahn, the FDA commissioner, has said his agency will maintain high standards in its approval process, but Trump has also made his preferences clear. That could put pressure on Hahn, an inexperienced commissioner who already flip-flopped on granting emergency authorization for the use of hydroxychloroquine, a controversial and ineffective drug favored by the president. Members of the medical community have also raised red flags about Warp Speed’s opaque selection process. They contend that some companies appeared to have been selected because they could manufacture a vaccine quickly, not because they demonstrated the most promising scientific approaches. “It’s typical Operation Warp Speed, where everything is sort of cryptic and it’s unclear what they’re actually saying,” Peter Hotez, a vaccine researcher at Baylor College of Medicine, told Science Magazine in June. “What have these vaccines been chosen to do?” Slaoui and Disbrow say transparency is a priority but that they’re negotiating with publicly traded companies and have to be circumspect about disclosure to avoid moving their stock prices. They say they will soon disclose extensive data from trials the companies have conducted.

Scientific Research Shows the N95 and Surgical Masks Just Plain Don’t Work – Save Yourself and Save Your Friends

The CDC Just Issued A Coronavirus Mask Warning That’ll Scare You to Death!

Here’s What You Must Do Now to Stay Safe…

I’m so pissed off right now I can’t see straight… I mean I’m absolutely livid!

So why am I writing to you? Because what I’m about to tell you is going to piss you off too. It’s also going to scare the living crap out of you.

And if I don’t tell you what’s making me so angry, you’ll be in bigger trouble than you know. In fact, you just may end up dead.

Let me take a deep breath and explain:

We’re living through the greatest health crisis of our lifetime. The Coronavirus has infected over 5,400,000 Americans and killed a mind-boggling 170,000 with no end in sight. And the CDC says those numbers are way, way understated!

For months and months, the experts have told us there are two ways to stop the Coronavirus in its tracks:

Stay apart, stay covered and you’ll be safe, right?

WRONG!

The National Institute of Health issued an urgent warning that MASKS DON’T PROTECT YOU from the Coronavirus. Not even the so-called gold standard of masks – the N95. Even worse, they report that “reusable” surgical masks are killing those who wear them.

The N95 filtering face piece respirators may not provide the expected protection level against small virions. Some surgical masks may let a significant fraction of airborne viruses penetrate through their filters, providing very low protection against aerosolized infectious agents in the size range of 10 to 80 nm.

Results

The results indicate that the penetration of virions through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-certified N95 respirators can exceed an expected level of 5%. The tested surgical masks showed a much higher particle penetration because they are known to be less efficient than the N95 respirators. The 2 surgical masks, which originated from the same manufacturer, showed tremendously different penetration levels of the MS2 virions: 20.5% and 84.5%, respectively, at an inhalation flow rate of 85 L/min.

WTF is going on? We’ve been told a million times to wear a mask. Now they’re telling us that wearing them could kill us!

Does this mean that we have absolutely no defense and sooner or later we’re all going to die?

The hell it does!

I’ve got a lot of contacts. So after I calmed down, I made some calls to find out if the technology exists to protect us from this deadly virus.

The good news is, it does. But it’s not available in the U.S. That’s why you’ve never heard of it. My contact assured me that I could source a limited quantity of a brand new mask and nanoparticle (only ones made) canister filters reserved for laboratory workers and top medical personnel. And I did!

Since this is a matter of life and death, I’m offering them on a first-come first-served basis at a little above cost. I’m doing this as an emergency and humanitarian effort to save lives! We have supplies of masks and filters in stock ready for IMMEDIATE shipment that can protect you. When they are gone, they are gone, no telling when we will get resupplied.
