United States B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers arrived in the Middle East, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a post on X. The deployment of the B-52 bombers was announced on November 1, amid rising tension in the region. “Should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every measure necessary to defend our people,” Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder underlined. Meanwhile, previous reports claimed that Washington warned Tehran that if it launches a new retaliatory attack against Israel, it won’t be able to hold the latter back.
The United States warned Iran that if it carries out another retaliatory attack against Israel, it won’t be able to contain the latter,
Axios reported on Saturday citing a US official and a former Israeli official. “We told the Iranians: We won’t be able to hold Israel back, and we won’t be able to make sure that the next attack will be calibrated and targeted as the previous one,” the US official told the news outlet. The former Israeli official detailed that Washington sent the message to Tehran through Switzerland. Previous reports claimed that Israel is currently anticipating Iran to attack its territory from Iraq.
