In a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Putin said he is willing to “help find options for the unhindered export of grain.” “An increase in the supply of Russian fertilizers and agricultural products will also help reduce tensions on the global food market, which, of course, will require the removal of the relevant sanctions,” the Kremlin cited Putin as saying. The talks come as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a promise to Kiev to coordinate with his G7 partners in order to get Moscow to lift the blockade.
Johnson, Zelensky talk more defense support for Ukraine
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, talked about strengthening the UK’s support for Kiev, the Guardian reported citing a Downing Street spokesperson.
According to the spokeswoman, Johnson pledged he will continue to intensify the aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to help “their efforts to defend their homeland” against what he referred to as a “barbaric attack.”
