Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar sent a letter to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in which he vowed the group would fight Israel until “the occupation is defeated and swept away from our land, and our independent state with full sovereignty is established with Jerusalem as its capital.” Sinwar thanked Nasrallah for Hezbollah’s support for the group during its conflict with Israel and for his condolences following the killing of previous Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh. In the letter published by Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen, he also stated that “blessed convoys of martyrs will increase in strength and power in confronting the Nazi Zionist occupation.”
