According to a source familiar with the matter, Israel chose to postpone the response worrying that the details given in the documents, although they do not specify the names and locations of the intended targets, will still give Iran enough information to predict its strategy. They added that the retaliation will happen nevertheless but with certain modifications. The US opened a probe into the leak of the documents, which were first published on Telegram on October 18.
