Manchin urges Fed to start tapering asset purchases

United States Senator Joe Manchin on Thursday urged the Federal Reserve to “immediately” start reducing the pace of its bond-buying program and “immediately reassess our nation’s stance of monetary policy.” The West Virginia Democrat wrote in a letter to Fed Chair Jerome Powell that he is “increasingly alarmed” about the asset purchases the central bank is still conducting despite the ongoing economic rebound and the end of the recession. “I am deeply concerned that the continuing stimulus put forth by the Fed, and proposal for additional fiscal stimulus, will lead to our economy overheating and to unavoidable inflation taxes that hard working Americans cannot afford,” Manchin stressed. Nick Note: As i have been screaming from the roof tops… THE FED IS FUCKING UP ROYALLY!!!!
