UK’s daily virus cases highest since end of May

Nearly 3,000 new “virus” cases in UK’s biggest daily increase since May

Nearly 3,000 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the UK in the largest daily figure since May, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock admitting the rise is “concerning”. Government figures show there have been a further 2,988 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK as of 9am on Sunday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the UK to 347,152. Sunday’s figure is the highest since May 22 when 3,287 cases were recorded, and is also the first 24-hour period when cases passed 2,000 since the end of May. The tally was an increase on Saturday’s figures of 1,813 new cases. Scotland recorded 208 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily increase in positive tests for more than 17 weeks. Nick Note: Its the start of the second wave attacking Europe. And yes it has mutated again. Lock downs are on the near horizon with the politicians, special interest groups kicking and scream all along the way. To be clear here its the need for the public’s right to a vacation because the masses are “stressed”. And as i collect the evidence i am more convinced its the Aluminum and Kevlar pressurized incubation tubes the modern jetliner. The lobbyist of the airline industry are powerful. Have you noticed all the little ditties the industries PR spin mysters are producing. The HEPTA 10 “NEW” filters they are hyping.. (same as used in operating rooms they say). The secret is they  have been in use since the nineties when to save fuel the manufactures starting recirculating cabin air. They are only pumping new air into the cabin 50% of the time. The HEPTA 10 filters they are using  are the same material as used in your Coffee Paper N95 that pass ALL the vaporized viruses. It has not stopped infections passing among the passengers for the past 30 years.  Now all of a sudden they would have you believe their joke filters started working. And why then are the requiring passengers to wear toilet paper and coffee filter masks proven not to work. Its all about the blow, Go and show! People are coming out of those virus incubators infected…. And AND AND they are passing and circulating the virus far and wide. STOP all flights NOW! of course they will not do it. Nick Note II: In my complete and utter frustration of my inability to get supplied the right P3 filters i am having state of the art UPLA 15 filters custom manufactured for me at ISO certified factories.  For the record i uped the stae of the art. with newer higher filtration properities media. This is nota easy deal. It involves contracting for the right fiber material. Only one factory makes the resin. Then i have to have the rolls of filter material pleated, cut into circles and sealed around the edges. From their they have to go into food grade canisters. And all this has to be assembled  in ISO 13485 certified factories for medical equipment manufacturing in Europe . Not in dogshit China factories. This UPLA 15 technology has never been available in canister filters before. I guess the new fleet of vehicles will have to wait. Including my preorder of the EV Hummer.

OR

Hummer or trying to save lives….WELL lets not get carried away here. After all its 1000HP and i can charge it off my solar panels… GOD i wish i could be a greedy pig.. Hey God if i trade really really GOOD can i do the filter deal AND the Hummer EV? I wish someone else would do this… But they do not want to write the BIG check. Oh Well!

Brent Crude Tumbles Below $40 in Wake of Souring Demand Outlook

(Boomberg) — Crude in London tumbled below $40 a barrel for the first time since late June in the wake of faltering demand and weaker equities dampening market sentiment. Brent futures tumbled as much as 5.3% to $39.77 a barrel on Tuesday. The combination of a stalling Asian demand recovery, the end of the U.S. summer driving season and increased supply from the OPEC+ alliance are signaling a bleak short-term outlook for oil prices. Equity markets also weakened, leading crude to break the key psychological barrier of $40 a barrel. The Nasdaq 100’s three-day slide topped 10% after its surge from March lows stretched valuations toward levels last seen in the dot-com era. The demand environment is “only going to get worse here,” said John Kilduff, a partner at Again Capital LLC. With the “pronounced rally in the dollar” and “the significant sell-off in the stock market, we’re getting dragged down with that too. There’s a big risk-off sentiment as the summer holiday ends here.” Meanwhile, only four of 10 Asian refiners surveyed by Bloomberg said they would be trying to buy more Saudi Arabian crude after the kingdom cut pricing for October as consumption remained below pre-coronavirus levels. Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. also cut prices on Tuesday, the latest response to a sluggish demand backdrop in the world’s biggest oil-consuming region. Brent for November settlement declined $2.16 to $39.85 a barrel at 9:53 a.m. in New York.West Texas Intermediate for October delivery fell $3.09 to $36.68 a barrel.

Coupled with concerns over the pick-up in Chinese demand, tensions are rising between the U.S. and the world’s largest importer. President Donald Trump said that he intends to curb the U.S. economic relationship with China, threatening to punish any American companies that create jobs overseas and forbid those that do business in China from winning federal contracts. A widening contango in both Brent and WTI, combined with a slump in tanker rates, may also be starting to incentivize floating storage. Storing crude at sea has become profitable again for northwest Europe and the Mediterranean, shipbroker and exchange data compiled by Bloomberg. Nick Note: Any suggest that demand for crude is increasing or will increase is beyond stupid. In fact with infections increasing in Europe and soon the second wave to become reality in America all i can say is make sure the kids NetFex subscription is up to date!

People not vaccinated spread virus – Pfizer CEO

  • Pfizer’s potential vaccine is one of three backed by the U.S. that’s currently in late-stage testing.
  • The U.S.-based pharmaceutical giant has been working alongside German drugmaker BioNTech.
  • In July, Pfizer released promising data from its early-stage trial.

Pfizer could have results from its late-stage coronavirus vaccine trial as early as October, CEO Albert Bourla said Thursday. The pharmaceutical company has already enrolled 23,000 volunteers in the phase three trial that began in late July, Bourla said during a Q&A with the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations, a trade group. It hopes to enroll at least 30,000 participants, he said.  “We expect by the end of October, we should have enough … to say whether the product works or not,” he said.  U.S. health officials have previously said results from late-stage vaccine trials could come in November or sooner. Pfizer’s potential vaccine is one of three backed by the U.S. that’s currently in late-stage testing. The U.S.-based pharmaceutical giant has been working alongside German drugmaker BioNTech. The companies’ experimental vaccine contains genetic material called messenger RNA, or mRNA. In July, the company released promising data from its early-stage trial. The phase three trial is expected to include up to 30,000 participants between the ages of 18 and 85 across 120 sites globally, including 39 U.S. states, the company has said. If it is successful, they expect to submit it for final regulatory review as early as October. They plan to supply up to 100 million doses by the end of 2020 and approximately 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021. In July, the U.S. government announced it would pay Pfizer and BioNTech $1.95 billion to produce and deliver 100 million doses of their vaccine if it proves safe and effective. The deal was signed as part of Operation Warp Speed, the Trump administration’s effort to accelerate development and production of vaccines and treatments to fight the coronavirus. The CEO’s remark comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking state governors and local health departments to prepare to distribute a vaccine as soon as November. The deadline is raising concerns among public health experts and scientists that approval of a vaccine will be politically motivated and the White House may be pressuring regulators to get a vaccine to the market ahead of the presidential election on Nov. 3. Drug company executives, including from Pfizer, have previously insisted they aren’t cutting corners in fast-tracking development of potential vaccines. They have said the Food and Drug Administration hasn’t eased its requirements for proving their vaccines are safe and effective.  While the vaccine may be safe, the executives have said it is “understandable” the public would be concerned, adding they will need to work to gain that trust. “Vaccine hesitancy is probably one of the greatest challenges for public health that America faces,” John Young, Pfizer’s chief business officer, told Congress on July 21. “All of us need to play a role, should we be successful in this mission, that there’s confidence in the safety and effectiveness of our vaccines based on data, based on confidence the FDA will only approve a vaccine if it’s safe and effective.” Bourla said Thursday that the company “would never” submit any vaccine for authorization before “we feel it is safe and effective.” “We will not cut corners,” he said. “Our phase three study will be the only one that will allow us to say if we have a safe and effective vaccine. If we don’t have results from a phase three study, we would not submit.” Nick Note: i believe each and every word in this article. And i am sure you do to. So where do i sign up.

Trump: Vaccine will come fast, surprise many

Vice President Mike Pence predicts the U.S. will have a COVID-19 vaccine “before the end of this year.” During a Tuesday interview with SiriusXM’s “Breitbart News Daily,” the vice president explained that the Trump administration has been involved in efforts to develop a vaccine since February. “On Monday, one company known as Moderna went into Phase 3 clinical trials for the first coronavirus vaccine in the United States. Others were quick to follow that,” Pence told Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief and “Breitbart News Daily” host Alex Marlow about the progress on a COVID-19 vaccine.  The chairman of the White House Coronavirus Task Force shared actions the administration has taken since the initial outbreak of the virus. He discussed Trump’s decision to restrict travel from China in January and how work on a vaccine began in February. He said that the president “has never hesitated to move swiftly and decisively to put the health of America first” and praised Trump’s decision to take the “unprecedented step of suspending all travel from China.” He highlighted the administration’s efforts to increase the availability of personal protective equipment, add ventilators to the strategic stockpile and conduct widespread testing with a revamped system. “Now, nearly 60 million tests have been performed, virtually from a standing start four months ago on an old system,” Pence said. “All of that is just a precursor to what this president has done in the development of therapeutics and vaccines. Literally within days in February of when the NIH [National Institutes of Health] first received the genetic coding for the coronavirus, we went to work on a vaccine,” he added. “In 62 days, the first clinical trials were initiated.” He said the process to create a vaccine has been taking place at an “unprecedented pace.” “Usually, vaccines literally take years and years and years to develop,” he said. “But what the president said was, ‘We’re literally going to move at warp speed without compromising safety,’ and we created a program where now you have half a dozen companies with very promising vaccines that we’re actually paying, Alex, to produce the vaccine as we complete the testing, so the very moment that a vaccine proves to be safe and effective — no corners cut, we’re going to do it exactly by the book through the FDA [Food and Drug Administration] — we’ll literally have tens of millions of doses available for the American people. And that’s the speed and the urgency the president has put behind this.” He said he predicts the U.S. will have a “safe and effective vaccine” by the end of the year. United States Vice President Mike Pence stated on Monday that the US has several vaccines that are already in the last stage of trials. “We will have tens of millions of doses available to American people very soon. Biden said no miracle is coming but here in America, we are in the miracle business,” he stated pledging that the country is getting rid of the pandemic. “We are gonna put the health of America first. We have already seen 10.6 millions of Americans coming back at work,” Pence noted. He also added that the US opened up schools and that, under President Trump, they are going to keep fighting for tax relief. Nick Note: The OCTOBER SURPRISE… Even if it takes a new head of the FDA and the HIS… Watch and see!

Russia Expects Oil Demand To Drop By 10 Million Bpd In 2020

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Global oil demand could fall by 9-10 million barrels per day (bpd) this year due to impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday, adding prices had room to recover further. That’s in line with last month’s forecast by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, which saw world oil demand tumbling by 9.06 million bpd this year.

Demand for oil has been hit by the pandemic, which has forced lockdowns across the globe and led to a steep decline in consumption of the fuel.

Speaking at an online conference, Novak also said oil prices could potentially rise to around $65 per barrel next year, but that he expected them to be volatile. Brent crude is currently trading around $44 per barrel, after slumping to a 21-year low below $16 in April at the height of restrictions to contain the pandemic. Asked by the conference moderator if he agreed with Goldman Sachs’s forecast that the oil price could reach $65 per barrel, Novak said it was possible, but that he was more cautious. “I have a rather more modest forecast, comparing to Goldman Sachs, for 2021. In my opinion, again, speaking about the average price per year, we could be in a corridor of $50 to $55 per barrel. But the volatility might be there,” he said via an interpreter.  The world remains inundated with crude and fuel despite supply cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies, known as OPEC +, and government efforts to boost oil production. global economy and demand for oil. As a result, refiners have cut back on fuel production, prompting oil producers like Saudi Arabia to cut prices to offset the drop in demand for crude. Monday’s Labor Day holiday marks the traditional end of the peak summer demand season in the United States and has renewed investor attention to the current lackluster fuel demand of the world’s largest oil user. world. China, the world’s largest importer of oil, which has supported prices with record purchases, slowed consumption in August and increased exports of products, customs data showed Monday. “There are so many uncertainties about the Chinese economy and its relationship with major industrialized countries, with the United States and nowadays, even Europe,” Keisuke Sadamori, director of markets for the United States, told Reuters. energy and security at the International Energy Agency. Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporter, has lowered the official October selling price of Arab Light crude it has been selling to Asia since May, indicating that demand remains weak. Asia is Saudi Arabia’s largest market by region.

Nick Note: If Novak predicts $50 YOU CAN EXPECT OIL UNDER $30. Brent is already in the lower forties… I could see oil in the twenties as the next wave of the coronavirus sucks shut the global economy…… again!

France expects rise in serious COVID cases in next 15 days

PARIS (Reuters) – France must stay vigilant as more people will be hospitalised in intensive care units in the next two weeks, reflecting a flare-up in COVID-19 infections in recent days, Health Minister Olivier Veran said on Saturday.  Veran however ruled out the need for a new nationwide lockdown, telling BFM television that France had other means to fight the virus, including testing. “I cannot envision a general lockdown. The lockdown was a lid on an overflowing cooking pot,” he said. Health authorities on Friday reported 8,975 new confirmed cases, almost 1,500 higher than the previous daily peak of 7,578 on March 31, when France was in one of Europe’s strictest coronavirus lockdowns. The death toll in France stood at 30,686 people as of Friday. As the rise in infections has mainly affected young people, who are less likely to develop complications, there has so far been less strain on French hospitals, which were almost overwhelmed at the end of March. But after falling steadily for months after an April 14 peak of 32,292, the number of people hospitalised was up by 28 on Friday to 4,671, rising for a sixth day in a row. “We are not all on the same epidemic wave as last spring. We are on a slower trend but one that must alert us,” Veran said. “This week, 55 patients on average were hospitalised in intensive care units (ICU) each day, this means we are on an average of 1,500-2,000 people hospitalised in ICU units per month in our country. This is not neutral and we must be extremely vigilant,” he added. Current hospitalisation numbers reflected infections contracted two weeks ago, Veran said. “So it is obvious that in the next 15 days there will be an increase, it will not be massive but there will nevertheless be an increase in the number of severe cases and in the number of people hospitalised and in ICU units” Nick Note: Two things have happened.

1st. The first wave has passed and immunity has wore off.

2nd Europe relying on the N95 joke coffee filter paper mask opened up.

And the aluminum and Kevlar flying Incubator chambers are spreading the aerosolized mutation of the coronavirus from the US to Europe. The only way to get on top of this is to stop all Airliners, Massive testing and tracing and isolate the clusters of infections when they pop up.

Oh Yes i almost forgot wear a sealing rubber mask and a P3 R virus proof mask and seal your eyes.

And isolate yourself from stupid peole as much as possible….

And don’t forget to get cyrbermoney from offshore banks to spend  on your discrete Mastercard

California grid operator warns of rotating power outages in record heat wave

Sept 5 (Reuters) – The California Independent System Operator (ISO) declared a “Stage 2” power emergency late on Saturday, warning that rotating power outages were possible amid a record heat wave. A Stage 2 power emergency means the ISO has taken all mitigating actions but can no longer provide its expected energy requirements. Temperatures of up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit (49 Celsius) were set to punish California through the Labor Day weekend, raising the risk of wildfires and rolling blackouts. California Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday declared a state of emergency, a proclamation that allows power plants to operate beyond normal limits through the three-day holiday weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast a heat wave carrying “rare, dangerous and very possibly fatal” temperatures across Southern California for the holiday weekend. State officials urged Californians to turn off unnecessary appliances and lights to help avoid blackouts from an overwhelmed power grid. Authorities also asked power generators to delay any maintenance until after the weekend to prevent blackouts like the two nights of rolling outages in mid-August as residents cranked up their air conditioning. This weekend was expected to be hotter than the one in mid-August that helped trigger the second- and third-largest forest fires in California history. Those fires are still burning. Death Valley in California’s Mojave desert registered one of the hottest air temperatures recorded on the planet of 130F (54C) on Aug. 17, and highs of around 124 were expected there on Sunday, the NWS said. San Francisco-based power provider PG&E Corp said on Saturday that it may be asked by the grid operator to turn off power due to the “extreme heat.” It urged customers to conserve power. The company said it may have to cut power early on Monday and Tuesday in parts of Northern California as hot, dry winds are expected to threaten the region. PG&E said its potential power shut-offs may impact parts of 17 counties, which would include about 103,000 customers. Nick Note: Having set up several small electric companies in a humanitarian effort, excuse me if i regard myself as a bit of a expert. The first small system involved running a underwater buried cable i purchased from (salvage) Florida Power and light. The second power  system involved 3 big Caterpillar generators for a sea food packing plant and electrifying the surrounding town… at no charge. The third project involved a large generation station for an entire island. That project had a 27 mile high voltage distribution system and 3 LARGE dutch generators. I was involved from conception, engineering, financing , installation and management. I built with my own hands a home solar system in 1984.. Since then i have either generated my own power on my boats or solar system on the”farm” At the present time on Rancho Perro we have 3 generators as backups.  1 diesel, 1 gasoline and 1 Fart Gas. The solar system with panels just upgraded is a 15KW system with massive battery storage including  Large wet Lead acid batteries banks, And state  of the art Lithium  Batteries salvaged from Tesla electric cars. And a 400 VDC to 48 VDC converter system i designed  that allows me to use the batteries in the working electric cars to act as storage that charges by and discharges into the solar system that runs the……compound… Sorry Ranch. So i think i know a LITTLE something about the grid. You got to be crazy to be on grid power…. talk about Lights Out USA…. its gonna happen…….  It is a disgrace that the wealthiest country in the world has a gird equal to the shit i saw in Latin America because your yes YOUR ha ha ha  leaders from top to bottom are to busy stealing your money, feeding you full of shit and giving you Starbucks and Plastic China dogshit that breaks………. and to top it off you and YOUR country men elect A failed billionaire (Daddys money) BOZO the Clown your president because you think he can solve these problems… And when after 4 years where everything he has touched has turned to shit he tell you its a deep state conspiracy and its not his fault. And the one i really love is the highest unemployment rate and and Negative GDP since the Great Depression he calls a recovery… and the  best part of all he denies we are in a global killing pandemic and he seeks to  convinced you its  little more then the flu and no need to worry……..

Michael Cohen says Trump will ‘do anything’ to stay in office, even start a war

Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen said Friday he believes his former boss will “do anything and everything” to win re-election and “even go so far as to start a war” to remain in office. In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, Cohen was asked if he thought Trump would win in November. “So Donald Trump will do anything and everything within which to win. And I believe that includes manipulating the ballots,” Cohen said. “I believe that he would even go so far as to start a war in order to prevent himself from being removed from office,” Cohen continued. “My biggest fear is that there will not be a peaceful transition of power in 2020.” Cohen, who worked for Trump for years as his personal lawyer and self-described “fixer,” began serving a three-year prison sentence last year for financial crimes and lying to Congress. He was released in July to serve the rest of his sentence at home folowing concerns that unsafe prison conditions could put him at risk for coronavirus. Cohen turned on his boss in spectacular fashion, calling him a “con man” and “a cheat” during dramatic testimony before Congress last year. He’s written a book about his time working for Trump called, “Disloyal, a Memoir.” It goes on sale Tuesday. In a statement, the White House called Cohen’s book “fan fiction” and said, “He readily admits to lying routinely but expects people to believe him now so that he can make money from book sales.” Nick Note: Trump is capable of far more ugliness then starting a war with some shithole country. Try suspending the constitution (Pandemic) and creating a police state. the stakes in the upcoming elections could not be higher

Coronavirus forecast predicts over 410,000 total U.S. deaths by Jan. 1

‘The worst is yet to come’

The U.S. will top more than 410,000 Covid-19 deaths by the end of the year as the country heads into the fall and winter, according to a new forecast from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington. Covid-19 has already killed at least 186,800 people in the U.S., according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The model by IHME, whose models have previously been cited by the White House and state officials, forecasts that the death toll will more than double by Jan. 1 and could reach as high as 620,000 if states aggressively ease coronavirus restrictions and people disregard public health guidance. “The worst is yet to come. I don’t think perhaps that’s a surprise, although I think there’s a natural tendency as we’re a little bit in the Northern hemisphere summer, to think maybe the epidemic is going away,” Dr. Christopher Murray, director of IHME, told reporters on a conference call Friday. In June, IHME predicted that the death toll in the U.S. would reach 200,000 by October, which appears to be on track. Some epidemiologists and mathematicians, however, have criticized IHME for making predictions too far into the future.  IHME previously projected 317,697 deaths by Dec. 1. The model now predicts that the daily death toll could rise to nearly 3,000 per day in December, up from over 800 per day now, according to Hopkins data. IHME released three new projections based on different assumptions: a worst-case scenario, a best-case scenario and a most likely scenario. The most likely scenario estimates that Covid-19 will kill 410,450 people in the U.S. by Jan. 1. The worst-case scenario, which assumes that restrictions and mask directives will ease, projects up to 620,028 people in the U.S. will die by then and the best-case scenario, which assumes universal masking, predicts that 288,380 people in the U.S. will die from Covid-19 in 2020. Government policies and compliance among the public will largely determine how many people die of Covid-19 this fall and winter, Murray said. He added on a call that he believes there is a seasonal element to the virus, as with other coronaviruses, and that it will spread more easily in the colder Northern climates later in the year.  “We are facing the prospect of a deadly December, especially in Europe, Central Asia, and the United States,” Murray said in a statement. “But the science is clear and the evidence irrefutable: mask-wearing, social distancing, and limits to social gatherings are vital to helping prevent transmission of the virus.”

On a call, Murray added that widespread mask use likely won’t be enough to drive down spread of the virus in the fall and winter. He said the question, from a policy perspective, is what kind of social distancing restrictions will be most effective, and there’s not enough public data to answer that question, he said.

Daily new cases of Covid-19 in the U.S. have fallen since they peaked in late July at more than 70,000 new cases per day. However, daily new cases appear to have plateaued again at over 40,000 new cases per day, a level of pervasive spread that top health officials have said is worrying headed into the fall. Despite the drop in new cases, the number of deaths caused by Covid-19 everyday in the U.S. has remained high, at nearly 1,000 new deaths per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Murray said daily new cases, both globally and in the U.S., may continue to plateau or even drop through September, but they will likely rise come October. The group projects the global death toll, which currently stands at 869,600, will rise to roughly 2.8 million by Jan. 1. The best-case scenario — where there’s widespread adoption of masks and other safety precautions — forecasts a worldwide death toll of more than 2 million. The worst case scenario predicts 4 million cumulative global deaths by the end of the year. Nick Note: Did you see the part i marked in red above where they admit that toilet paper and coffee filter paper mask will not lower the death toll….. Because they just plain do not work against aerosol spread!

Oil drops over 3% amid US economic worries

Oil prices fell more than 3% on Friday and posted their biggest weekly decline since June as fears of a slow economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic compounded worries about weak oil demand. Brent crude , the international benchmark, fell $1.41, or 3.2%, to settle at $42.66 a barrel While there is evidence to support the view that demand is higher than at the height of pandemic-induced lockdowns in the second quarter, there are questions as to whether it is strong enough to absorb the likely increase in supply. Much of the optimism remains centered around a recovery in Asia, particularly in China, the world’s largest crude importer, which has been setting records for imports in recent months. Certainly, August looks set to be another strong month for China, with Refinitiv Oil Research forecasting imports of 12.11 million barrels per day (bpd). This would be slightly higher than the official customs figures of 12.08 million bpd for July, but short of the record high 12.94 million bpd in June. If the official August imports are in line with Refinitiv’s estimates, it will mean that the four highest monthly imports have been the May to August period, underlining just how much the crude oil market has depended on China to keep some semblance of demand going during the novel coronavirus pandemic. It’s also no secret that much of the Chinese surge in imports in recent months was due to a splurge of opportunistic buying during the brief price war between top exporters Saudi Arabia and Russia in March and April. With oil prices falling to 22-year lows, Chinese refiners took advantage of their financial muscle to vacuum up available barrels across the globe. That oil has been arriving from late May onwards, and there has been so much that tankers have been forced to wait for up to four weeks at a time to unload at Chinese ports. More than 90 million barrels of crude was still waiting on tankers outside Chinese ports as at the end of August, Refinitiv said, with another 17.5 million barrels destined for China waiting off the regional oil-trading hub of Singapore. Working on the assumption that these cargoes will be discharged in September, it’s likely that this alone will keep China’s September imports at a high level, even if the volume of new crude is declining. Refinitiv said August-loading barrels destined for China were 7.93 million bpd, down from 8.2 million bpd in July and well down from the second quarter average of 11.87 million bpd. What the data seems to be showing is that the crude oil that has been flooding to China in recent months will probably ease back to more normal levels from October onwards. While this still means imports of likely above 10 million bpd, it does mean the crude market is going to lose as much as 2 million bpd of demand that it had been getting used to. Can rebounding demand in the rest of Asia make up for the loss of 1 to 2 million bpd from China? The data currently suggests not, even though there are some signs of recovery. India, Asia’s second-biggest importer, brought in 3.6 million bpd in August, according to Refinitiv, up from 3.44 million bpd in both July and June. While this is a recovery, it’s worth noting that pre-coronavirus demand in India was in the region of 4.1 to 4.7 million bpd, meaning demand is still crimped. Given India is still battling the pandemic, it may take longer for demand to fully recover in the South Asian nation. Japan is usually Asia’s third-biggest crude importer, but such is the weakness in demand there that it is at risk of swapping places with fourth-ranked South Korea. Japan’s August imports were around 2.35 million bpd, up from 2.09 million bpd in July, but still well below usual levels around 3 million bpd, according to Refinitiv. South Korea’s August imports were around 2.29 million bpd, down from July’s 2.74 million, and also below the pre-coronavirus levels of around 2.9 million bpd. Both Japan and South Korea are still battling to contain the coronavirus, putting a question mark over how rapidly their crude demand will recover. With members of the OPEC+ grouping boosting output in August after they eased their collective production cut by 2 million bpd to 7.7 million bpd, the bet they are placing is that demand is recovering faster than they are putting crude back in the market. Whether they are correct or not will likely depend on how much of a pullback in Chinese demand does occur from October onwards. Nick Note: We are seeing loadings drop, ships to the US are few and far between. China landings have slowed way way down. In reality the largest driver of demand is transportation fuels, Diesel, Gasoline and Jet Fuel. OF these transportation models over 80% is jet fuel. Despite how many videos the PR agencies hired by the airlines people are not buying into the dieways are safe. You cannot social distance on a plane, masks are a joke as you know and the 50% recirculated air is a virus spreading blower . AND their JOKE filtration systems HEPTA  H10 grade (which they and cruise ships have used since 1990)  do not catch the virus (85% efficent) spreading as a aerosol. $20 a barrel oil here we come……
