Iran: Currently no talks with US
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said on Monday that Tehran is not currently holding any talks with the United States. Speaking at a daily press briefing, Baghaei noted that Iran is negotiating with Oman on a temporary route that would allow safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. “As long as the United States continues its violations, there will naturally be no significant change in the situation in the Strait of Hormuz,” he stressed, adding that reaching a deal with Oman over a transit route would not be enough for reopening the critical waterway.
