The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said it carried out an 11th straight night of strikes against Iran. In a statement issued on social media, CENTCOM said the US targeted Iran’s military command centers, aircraft hangars, drone storage sites, maritime assets and logistics facilities. The command accused Iran of attacking more than 30 commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months. “The unwarranted attacks have endangered hundreds of innocent mariners and undermined freedom of navigation,” CENTCOM stated, claiming the waterway remains open “despite Iranian aggression.”
Iran claims strikes on US bases in Bahrain, Jordan
Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement on Wednesday that it had targeted United States military bases in Bahrain and Jordan in the latest attacks. “The army targeted the ‘housing and welfare buildings’ and ‘equipment warehouses’ of the terrorist US army at the Azraq base in Jordan with drones in the morning,” the military stated. It added that “large equipment warehouses and sheds” and “heavy aircraft maintenance and repair sheds” of the US forces at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were also hit earlier today. The new attacks on American military assets in the region came in response to the latest US strikes across Iran, which targeted military command centers, aircraft hangars, drone storage sites, maritime assets and logistics facilities.
