Anonymous US sources said Israeli officials think the Iron Dome is particularly vulnerable in the north of the country, where Hezbollah has been attacking, and that they are “surprised at the sophistication of Hezbollah’s strikes to date.” US officials also said Israel informed the Biden administration it plans to pull some forces from southern Gaza and stage an offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Lebanese group could respond using precision guided weapons, which the Iron Dome could struggle to defend against.
