
United States stock markets continued to climb on Monday with the Dow Jones surging more than 1,200 index points as the growth in new coronavirus deaths slowed down somewhat in most-affected European countries, including Italy and the UK. Meanwhile, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled that the number of hospitalizations and intubations over coronavirus is declining statewide, adding it may indicate a “possible flattening of the curve.” The Dow gained 5.57% at 12:41 pm ET while the Nasdaq 100 jumped 5.33% at the same time. The S&P 500 went up by 5.53%.
