Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted on Sunday that Russia has given “no sign” on whether it wants a trilateral meeting with his country and the United States. “And if Russia refuses, then new sanctions must follow,” Zelensky said after he met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. Commenting on what could lead to a potential ceasefire, Zelensky said Russian President Vladimir Putin “has many demands, but we do not know all of them.”In the meantime, writing on X, Zelensky noted that “it is important that Europe’s unity remains at the level of 2022. This unity helps bring about a just peace, and it must remain strong.”
